In an obscure report, I found a mention of a stamp mill from the 1800s at the bottom of a remote canyon. There was no defined trail, almost no information, and no guarantee anything would be at the bottom of the canyon.

So I hiked in to see if the report was correct.

The canyon took two attempts to figure out. It was steep, loose, and full of surprises like rattlesnakes and stinging nettle brush. Along the way, I found mines that nobody has stepped inside for decades. In the end, a stamp mill that has been sitting hidden for a long time.

In this video, I follow the clues and try to navigate my way to the bottom of one of the most remote and rugged canyons in California.
