You've paid $200 a lesson, maybe for years, and every time it comes back the same: just practice it. You have practiced it. The horn isn't the problem and your work ethic isn't the problem. Your setup is.

In this video I sit a downstream player in front of the camera and run the exact diagnosis I do with every student, for free: the breath attack test, the pencil test that shows which lip is actually vibrating, the fourteen articulations with eleven crossed out, and the placement test where he lifts the mouthpiece until the sound fails and finds the one spot where it doesn't. By the end his sound is a completely different instrument, and I never gave him a single exercise.

If a teacher has watched you play for years and only ever told you to practice more, that's not a practice problem. That's a diagnosis problem dressed up as a practice problem.
