πŸ”₯ THE SOLO SET CBS ALMOST RELEASED

Welcome to Midnight Wire Sessions. This session is a tribute inspired by one of the defining nights of the American folk protest era β€” Saturday, October 26, 1963, Carnegie Hall, New York City. Bob Dylan performed entirely solo that night, just acoustic guitar and harmonica, no band, at the height of his "protest singer" period. CBS Records recorded all nineteen songs for a proposed live album, pressed test acetates, and even printed sleeves β€” before scrapping the project entirely. Portions of that night eventually surfaced decades later on official releases.

This session recreates that solo set β€” nasal, expressive folk vocal, intimate fingerpicked and strummed acoustic guitar, and harmonica woven throughout, all captured with the warm, unpolished character of a real 1963 concert hall recording.
