cross the industry influencers are going broke… at least… according to the influencers themselves…

Now of course a lot of this has simply come down to dumb people living well beyond their means and getting hit with the long shlong of reality… which is that; dancing around your living room won’t make you millions of dollars forever.

Now if we are all being honest with ourselves here…

this is kind of funny,

And speaking as an insufferable influencer myself, there is an element of schadenfreude seeing these people realize that providing no value often means that they will be provided WITH no value…

But as much as I would like to say I told you so… the great influencer recession is impacting more than just tik-tok dancers, cyber trollops and people that scream “chat” in their bedrooms.

I know a lot of you who watch my videos also watch much better channels like Kursgerzart, Real Engineering, alongside many others who are all saying the same thing at the same time… they. are. struggling…

So again while it would honestly be a lot more fun to point at laugh at people finding out how good “short form prankster” looks on a resume for a real job, I think it would be a lot more productive to find out if this is really just the case of the influencer economy collapsing… or influencers just being the loudest carriage to fall off the rails in a much wider slowdown…

I also want to seriously address the question of; if YouTube, actually owes anybody a living??, because yeah… believe it or not that’s a bit of a divisive one…

But I guess most importantly it’s also worth asking why this is happening NOW…

Well there are actually three big forces, each nudging supply and demand around in less than ideal ways for this particular… uhh… “market”...
