But getting out of Alaska is proving to be an adventure all on its own before making the long 3,600-mile journey home to Arizona.

After spending weeks working on equipment and tackling challenges in the remote community of Manley Hot Springs, Alaska, it’s finally time to pack up and head south. Unfortunately, there’s one BIG problem standing between Wrecker Rick and the road home.

Manley Hot Springs is roughly five hours from Fairbanks, and Rick has to make the trip THREE separate times! That’s approximately 30 hours of driving just to get everything where it needs to be before the crew can even begin the journey back to Arizona.

And these aren’t exactly your average highway miles.

Traveling through the Alaskan interior means navigating remote gravel roads, unpredictable conditions, and long stretches of wilderness where mechanical problems can quickly turn into a serious situation. When you’re hauling equipment and depending on your trucks to get the job done, there’s not much room for error. Every mile matters, especially when civilization and the nearest repair shop can be hours away.
