What REALLY happened at Babel? The Tower of Babel is one of the most famous stories in the Bible—where God confuses the universal human language and scatters the people across the earth. But where did the Tower of Babel come from?

In this "biblically accurate" guide, I’ll dive into Old Testament history to explore the true origins of the Tower of Babel. We’ll look at how this story may have been inspired by the Babylonian ziggurat, Etemenanki, a massive structure that stood at the heart of ancient Mesopotamia.

Helpful PSA: I use the term “biblically accurate” with caution. Of course, interpretations vary, and the term can be a bit loaded depending on your background or beliefs. This video isn’t about pushing a particular theological view—rather, I pride myself on research, historical context, and digging into the ancient world behind the text. So if you’re a fan of history, biblical studies, or just want to know what might have happened at Babel—this one’s for you!
