Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have reached a critical point as Iran’s attempt to blockade the Strait of Hormuz spectacularly collapses. With the U.S. maintaining total air supremacy, an international coalition led by the UK is now deploying advanced autonomous surface vessels (GARCs) and unmanned mine-hunting drones to clear the remaining hazards. While the immediate threat has been neutralized and transit is gradually resuming, the lingering danger of sea mines keeps the global energy market on edge.
