Part 2/3.

We venture further into Brussels.

After our visit at Gare Du Nord and the Hub Humanitaire we might as well check out the municipality of Molenbeek and Anderlecht, which is located right next to the Humanitarian Hub.

As fate would have it, we stumble upon the monthly market: Market de Maroc!

-The streets are full of vendors selling everything from kitchen utensils, to garments, carpets and various arabic inspired food.

We get quite a warm welcome here, but we are getting used to this treatment here in Brussels by now.

After Molenbeek and Anderlecht we go to central and get a coffee at the local shop located on the walking street.

From here we make our way to Gare Du Midi: the southern transportation hub here in the centre of Brussels and finally we end up in the area of Saint Gilles.

We get a chance to talk to some of the local residents, as they share their stories about their life in the city.

The purpose is to meet the people and see how everyday life is here in Brussels.

We meet many characters on our way through the city, some more welcoming than others.

One thing is for certain: the rumors about the immense diversity is true.

There are people from all over the world Living in Brussels, from China to Maroco, Tunisia(Northern Africa) and all the way down to Ghana and Congo(Central Africa).

Certain parts of the world are well represented in this melting pot of people and cultures.

Allons-y!
