This documentary explores the vanished Greek epics that once surrounded Homer, from the Cypria and the Judgment of Paris to Achilles’ death, the Trojan Horse, the fall of Troy, the Greek heroes’ disastrous returns, and the strange lost sequel to the Odyssey, the Telegony. What we have of the Epic Cycle are echoes of lost poems, which were themselves echoes of a lost world, the Bronze Age.
