Inside amber there's a spider that's been attacking the same wasp for 100 million years. There's also a feathered dinosaur tail that almost got polished into a necklace, and an ant with a zombie fungus growing out of its back. In the ice there's a baby horse with liquid blood still in its heart, a 30,000-year-old wolf head with the brain still inside, and Ötzi the Iceman, whose murder is still unsolved. The La Brea Tar Pits hold a young woman with a cracked skull, more than 4,000 dire wolves, and young bison that sat in the tar for months before they finally sank. Then there's the poop.
