At 4:25 in the morning, an exhausted nurse got into the wrong car. Half of Chicago crosses the street when its driver walks by.
After a twenty-hour shift at Lakeview General, ER nurse Nina Kowalski's phone dies at 2%. A black sedan is waiting at the pickup curb, so she climbs into the front seat, closes her eyes and says, "Please. Just drive me home." The car belongs to Luca Marchetti. His bodyguard is already at the window with a hand inside his coat. But Nina notices something else: Luca's hands are shaking. She checks his pulse, puts an apple juice in his hand and tells him he isn't driving for fifteen minutes. Nobody has sat in that seat in six years.
Days later, Nina floats up to the ICU and finds Luca's wounded man in Bed 7. A friendly silver-haired visitor walks in with a box of cannoli and tells a lie only Nina can see through. Then someone secretly pays off her father's heart-surgery loan, a photo of the one place Luca has kept secret for six years shows up on his phone, and at Sunday dinner, in front of every crime family in the city, the old advisor raises his glass and calls the nurse a traitor. He says he has a witness.
👉 Watch till the end — the witness stands up, and what he says changes everything at that table.
