I bet my graduation that I could give myself real Spider-Man powers. What followed were months of designing, coding, soldering, failing, and testing as I taught myself how to create a real-life Spider-Sense device.

In the end, the experiment was a success. After testing the glasses, it was found that they dramatically improved people's ability to detect approaching objects, even without vision. Pushing the idea of sensory substitution far beyond a simple gadget, and into something that felt like a new human sense. Who knows, with more improvements, this project might one day save lives.
