The first pick for our movie night series didn’t disappoint. Studio Ghibli seems like a genre of its own in its storytelling and visuals, one that’s stayed on my long saving-for-the-right-moment list of movies I add to rather than tick off. Spirited Away naturally felt like the gateway into the Ghibli world and Japanese mythological creatures. But I didn’t expect it to slap me with spiritual death, rebirth, cleansing, and the scaries of the material world.

If wanting to see the channel grow is something you feel, you’re a Guardian. And if you’d like to help with that, thank youuu, firstly, and Patreon is the best way to do it. Why? Videos like this are challenging and out of my depth, but made with serious good intentions for whoever sees them. Supporting literally buys the time needed to make these - for now. Check the Patreon video on this channel. Once enough time is bought, we can move further into our roadmap. I post every other Sunday. Also help me pick a movie for when the next moment’s right.
