🔥 THE SET THAT MADE HIM A STAR
Welcome to Midnight Wire Sessions. This session is a tribute inspired by one of Woodstock's most explosive performances — Sunday, August 17, 1969, 2:00 PM, Max Yasgur's Farm, Bethel, New York. Joe Cocker and the Grease Band tore through a set that launched his career overnight, just thirteen days before he'd do it again at the Isle of Wight.
This session recreates that afternoon — gravelly, gospel-tinged vocal power and driving blues-rock groove, all captured with the warm, unpolished character of a real 1969 outdoor festival recording.
🎧 PERFECT FOR:
- Late-night listening & reflection
- Deep focus & studying
- Fans of blues rock & soul-powered vocals
- Lovers of raw, festival-scale live recordings
- Anyone who loves music history's greatest breakout sets
- Road trips & summer evenings
