Welcome to a full-autumn pumpkin bread morning at the cottage. 🎃🍂
The trees have reached their brilliant fall colors, pumpkins have come in from the garden, and the first fire of the morning is already warming the old kitchen.
On the table, a loaf of homemade pumpkin bread has just been sliced. One thick piece has been covered with butter while it's still warm enough to soften it, the coffee is poured, and there are considerably more crumbs on the table than anyone intends to clean up just yet.
Around the kitchen, little pumpkins and gourds have found their way onto the shelves, cinnamon and nutmeg are back within easy reach, and outside the open door the entire homestead is glowing with October color.
And yes—the black cottage cat has found a comfortable chair and resumed its supervisory duties. 😂
